From Sparky Apprentice to Solar Protection Specialist
Hey there, I’m Jamie. A few years ago, I was climbing roofs and running conduit as an electrical apprentice. I loved the hands-on work and the solar industry, but during my time on the tools, I noticed a massive, costly problem that wasn't being fixed properly: birds, pigeons, and pests destroying solar investments. I saw homeowners spend thousands on premium solar setups, only to have their efficiency tank—or worse, their wiring chewed through—because local wildlife decided to nest underneath the panels. The generic fixes out there just weren't cutting it. I realized that if you want a job done right, you have to specialize. So, I made the terrifying but rewarding decision to quit my electrical apprenticeship and put 100% of my energy into building a business dedicated entirely to premium solar panel protection and maintenance. That’s how WeAreSolar was born.
